This week I had the pleasure to participate in the Apache Big Data and ApacheCon conferences which were hosted in the incredible city of Vancouver.
Being able to go back to ApacheCon after a few years felt so good; I was able to meet and chat with long time friends, some that I had the pleasure to meet face to face in the past, others that I had exchanged hundreds of e-mails but was only meeting face to face for the first time at the conference.
The conference was also a good opportunity to listen to industry experts and influencers around big data and open source in general.
I also had three talks at the conference, and for those that were asking me for the slides, they are now available on SlideShare and the direct links are listed below:
Apache BigData keynote: Leveraging open source analytics for making game changing decisions
SystemML - Declarative Machine Learning
How mentoring can help you start contributing to open source
